Your business here
Hello, I’m Tia Sunshine. I am a watercolor artist interested in taking the art exhibitions and sales process into my own hands. In addition to my exhibiting and fine art experience, I also enjoy branding and networking. I believe in the importance of small local businesses and communities. An important part of Art on Brand is getting to know you and your business in person.
Let’s meet!
I will meet with you in your business location. Not only do I want to meet with you in person, but I want to get to know your business and experience what it feels like for your clients to walk into your business.
We will discuss branding, and how your personality and the personality of your business draws your clients in on an emotional level. That personality-driven branding should be influencing the imagery and colors in your business, and the artwork I create (or curate) for your space will reflect your branding.
While we are getting to know each other, there is no commitment. I believe in collaborating only when the fit is right. Original, custom artwork takes time, and I need to be inspired by the project. Additionally, if I feel like my artwork isn’t going to be the right fit for your business, I will let you know. I will also take the time to consider if another artist in my networking circle might have artwork that is a better fit.
The Process:
After we meet in person, I will create small studies to illustrate my ideas for compositions, and color palette.
You take a look and choose what you love, or not, and we discuss it.
Then, I create full size artworks based on our discussions.
If you are not happy with the results of the process, there is no commitment to exhibit my artwork.
The Commitment:
The commitment will be different for each Art on Brand collaboration. I provide flexible offers. Generally, these are the commitment involved:
Once the artwork is complete and hanging in your business, you allow me space to advertise in your business. This could look similar to artwork in a gallery, with labels and a wall sign about the artist. It might also include my business cards or other items, like prints or cards for purchase or as client gifts.
I will post on social media and share about your business to my email audience, and you commit to do the same. I will also list your business as an Art on Brand collaborator on my website.
When someone shows interest in the artwork, it is expected that you will take a moment to tell them about me and our collaboration.
I commit to exhibiting the artwork in your business or vacation rental for up to 6 months. When the agreed time is up, you have the option to purchase the artwork, taking your commission as a discount.
If the artwork sells before the time is up and the collector wants to take possession right away, we will have a plan for either new artwork to replace it or for it to be replaced with a framed fine art print of the sold artwork.
Why choose Art on Brand?
When building an image for your business, you are connecting with customers on a personal level. This is the basis of branding. The atmosphere of your business can and should reflect your branding.
You get to exhibit original artwork that you love on your walls for free. No more buying mass-produced artwork that looks like everyone else in the market.
Join a networking community that uplifts small businesses, including vacation rentals. I love visiting vacation rentals and have so many wonderful ideas to keep you connected with your clients!
Your clients have the opportunity to walk away with a piece of artwork that will always remind them of you!
Each collaboration is unique to each business and tailored to your business needs.
I use the visit to your business as inspiration to create (or curate) custom, original artwork that is on brand for your space.
You have a choice: a commission on sales, or a discount for you to purchase the artwork. You even have the choice to pass all or part of your discount onto your VIP clients.
More information about my Art on Brand perspective…
The art world is changing and growing. Artists have more options than only galleries and exhibits with art organizations. More and more artists are choosing to create a business model that works for them. And, that is what I am doing.
I have studied branding out of curiosity for several years, and the one thing I have learned above everything else, is the importance of being yourself and doing your own thing. That is what I am doing. I give my idea-fairies a lot of space outside the box.
What I have noticed selling my own artwork, is that knowing where a piece of art came from is an important part of collecting. Perhaps, in the past, this focused on the importance of the gallery an artwork came from, but that isn’t particularly the case any longer. Galleries no longer have the monopoly on knowing and connecting with artists.
When someone comes to your vacation rental or business, they are choosing an experience. They have connected with that experience, and they are drawn to your business for a reason. It is natural that by creating artwork that reflects your branding, your clients will naturally be drawn to the artwork exhibited in your space.
I also believe in building relationships. The artwork on your walls could be what starts a conversation with your client, and it is important to me that you know the artist and have something interesting to say about the artwork. Collectors love to know something about the artist.
What is the style of artwork?
I am primarily a watercolor artist. But, I also use some unique materials and finishes that are less traditional. Often, after painting on paper, I will mount the painting onto a cradled wood panel. This allows for a more modern presentation. My artwork:
Doesn’t need to be under glass.
Can be framed, but doesn’t have to be.
Unframed cradled panels are similar to wrapped canvases. Sometimes the sides are treated or have beautiful natural wood.
My artwork for Art on Brand generally features a realistic element surrounded by a more abstract field. This allows me to focus on the appropriate branding elements and colors for the space and business. And, as mentioned above, if my artwork isn’t the right fit for your business, I may be able to curate artwork from another artist in my networking circle.
I will be adding more examples of my work soon. Please reach out to me with any additional questions you may have.
